PALMARES GOLF
(5 minutes from apartment)
Is one of the most scenic courses in the Algarve, with the majority of holes laid out on the gentle slopes above Meia Praia Beach, overlooking the bay of Lagos, the views as you play are quite breathtaking.
The upper holes wind through groves of fig and almond trees. Palmares is best known for its 'Almond Blossom' tournament in February when the trees are covered in a mass of pink and white bloom.

BOAVISTA
(5 minutes from apartment)
Offers two distinct sections of play providing a variety of attractive and interesting holes from the welcoming first hole to the last putt on the 18th green it promises a sensible game for the average player.
A meandering downhill par 4, 7th hole set against a glorious backdrop of the clear Atlantic ocean which is visible from most holes, with exhilarating breathtaking views extending from Praia da Luz to the hills at Monchique creating a spectacular backdrop. Umbrella pines, blossoming Almond, Fig, Palm and Olive trees line the rolling fairways, weaving their way between water hazards and carefully placed bunkers make this course a delight for the golfer.

There is also a brand new restaurant called Monte's offering fine yet casual dining and a gourmet coffee lounge serving coffees from around the globe, snacks and home made pastries.
LE MERIDIAN PENINA GOLF
(7km from apartment)
An 18 hole championship course is the oldest in the Algarve, designed by Sir Henry Cotton and has hosted the Portuguese open six times.
There are also 2 separate 9 hole courses. The courses are relatively flat and run through mature parkland.

PARQUE DA FLORESTA
(16km west of Lagos)
Set in a dramatic and beautiful steep sided valley is currently the only course west of Lagos. Designed by the former Spanish amateur champion Pepe
Gancedo, the 18 hole championship course is arguably the most difficult in the Algarve.
