3000 hours of sunshine a year

Due to its location, a holiday at apartment 'chic' offers something for everyone. You can do as much or as little as you choose. With everything on hand a car is definitely not essential. In the summer the weather is hot and dry, however there is usually a welcome breeze.

During the winter months the temperature averages a mild 18-20 degrees, making it an ideal escape from the cold British winters. The air conditioning units also offer a heating facility if required.

THE CULINARY CHOICE

There are well over 100 restaurants in Lagos for you to choose from, ranging from snack bars to gourmet restaurants. Many are situated within the old town, however if you prefer to stay closer to home, the Marina offers a fine selection of restaurants set along the waterfront allowing you to dine whilst admiring the beautiful yachts moored in the Marina.

Fresh fish and seafood caught by the local fishermen is a speciality. However all tastes are catered for and you will find restaurants serving English, French, Italian, Indian and Chinese dishes.

BEACHES

The beaches around Lagos are some of the most beautiful in the Algarve, the best one is just an easy 8 minute walk from the apartment. It is the simply stunning Meia Praia beach; 5km of soft golden sand which stretches from Lagos Marina to the river mouth at Alvor. It is one of the most spectacular in the Algarve. A full range of water sports are available.

Luxury beach bars and bistros are dotted along the sand, each one serving delicious food from lunchtime salads to more substantial meals. A particular favourite is the 'Bahia' bar, it is the perfect place to have a cool drink and watch the sun go down.

There are many other beautiful beaches to discover close by including Praia Dona Ana with its picturesque coves and grottos, Ponta da Piedade with its caves and beautifully transparent waters and Porto do Mos which stretches for miles and offers a beachside restaurant and cliff top walks.

All the beaches are extremley clean and have all the facilities you would need for a day at the beach.
